77.	Exclusion of the Press and Public View the background to item 77. To consider passing a resolution to exclude the press and public from the meeting prior to consideration of the following item on the agenda on the grounds that exempt information (as defined by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act, 1985) is likely to be disclosed. Minutes: Prior to consideration of the item in Minute 78 the press and public were formally excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended). This was followed by an adjournment to allow interviews to take place
78.	Appointment of Interim Director of Adult Services To make appointment to the role of the Interim Director of Adult Services following interviews. Minutes: The Committee unanimously approved the appointment of Mrs Joanna Williams as Interim Director of Adult Services, and delegated to the Chief Executive authority to finalise arrangements for a secondment from Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust to enable her to take up this role.
